might as well update bah... was too tired to blog when i came back yesterday from the hospital. went to sleep at 7.30pm.
so yeah, the doctor said it was the ACL, which is the front ligament, that tore. But thank goodness not completely. partially only. On rest for 2 months. but it is advisable to not do any jumping/running activities at all. especially jumping. ._.
no basketball either... hehe.. it is apparently a common affliction in women who play basketball.
well, so i have to go on rehab which i have to supervise by myself.
For the 1st week:
1) Straight Leg Raise
- 2 sets of 10
- 3-4 times a day
- once easy, weights to be added (2.5kg -> 5kg)
2) Cross Trainer
- 15 min
3) Stationary Cycling
- 15-20 min
4) Leg Press and one more...
- 2 sets of 10
5) Swimming:
- Freestyle
- once a week
- 30 min
From 2nd week onwards (add on):
6) Leg Curls
- 2 sets of 10
guu. as for marching, must wait for the 2 months then see how. i think i've kinda accepted that i won't be marching in the GOH for NCC Day Parade already (they collected their uniforms today) and not like Ma'am would let me anyway. >_> so i hope i recover by july or at least by my next appt which is in June. yarh, i think some may think i'm mad but heck. i actually asked him whether i can march or not. then after that... "excuse me but... can i continue dancing too?" ehehe..
wait. he also mentioned rollerblading. cannot rollerblade... NOOOOOO and i wanted to learn too!!!
